EGR Fault Code Mk5 Golf 1.9 TDI. I'll replace the EGR valve for handiness, though am I right in saying that there are another couple of parts related to the EGR
Got a 2005 1.9 TDI with the BKC engine. First had problems with the EGR valve and now the cooler. So bypassed the cooler and blanked the EGR to make the reliability a bit better. Looking for someone that can remove the EGR from the ECU so i wont get an EML on. Car is not needed every day so can post the ECU. Anyone out there that can do this ?

888. My 99.5 Jetta that my son drives developed an oil leak on the back of the engine, running down to the belly pan, and out onto the floor. When I changed the oil last weekend, I determined that the leak was not the cam cover or anything on the back of the engine, the oil was on top of the mounting flange for the cam cover and around the EGR
There could be a leak in the vacuum pipe. That would cause the valve to either not open at all, or to open only slightly. Either way flow would be restricted. That would also explain why replacing the EGR valve hasn't solved the problem, as the new valve wouldn't work either if the vacuum pipe is split. C. .
