It’s not really anything to worry about but it’s annoying. When the battery is getting close to totally dead the red light will start flickering or even turn off altogether. - Try putting in a new battery, or try with someone else’s battery first to see if their battery will work in your GBA SP. Then you’ll know for-sure that you just need a cheap battery replacement bought online.

Same symptom as before - a flash of the charging light then nothing. Or if it’s in power on when I connect a charger the screen flickers on with a green power light and charging light then nothing. I re-soldered the EM8 and the mod and cleaned the MB with isopropyl alcohol and it still won’t turn on

I had the same problem until I properly cleaned the power switch. This involves removing the metal cover (soldering iron needed) and cleaning the contacts inside.
